Our mission
Correcting one imbalance without creating another
There is an honest way and a dishonest way to do this work. The difference comes down to a single question: who pays.
Eurofrika guides African healthcare professionals to the German institutions waiting for them, from selection in their home country to full integration.
The situation is simple and documented on both sides. In Africa, nursing schools graduate entire cohorts each year who cannot find a post, or who work for wages that cannot support a family. In Germany, the nursing shortage is structural: wards close beds for lack of staff, and the age pyramid suggests the situation will worsen over the next decade.
These two realities answer each other. The problem is not connecting them — plenty of people already do. The problem is how it is done. An entire sector of intermediaries thrives on charging African candidates several thousand euros for promises that bind nobody, leaving them indebted to their families and abandoned at the airport.
Eurofrika is built the other way round. Our fee is paid by the healthcare institution doing the hiring, never by the nurse. This is not a marketing stance: it is the employer-pays principle written into German placement law and into the WHO global code of practice on the international recruitment of health personnel. We hold to it because it is the law, and because there is no other way to look a candidate in the eye.
Our commitments
Four things we do not compromise on
The employer pays, never the candidate
No application fee, no deposit, no deduction from salary, at any point in the journey.
Telling the truth about timelines
Twelve to twenty-four months, a recognition that is often partial, a demanding language exam. We would rather discourage a candidate than mislead one.
Not emptying African hospitals
We recruit among unemployed graduates and early-career professionals, not from public services already under strain.
Staying after arrival
Six months of support, and half our fee conditional on the nurse actually staying. Our interest and yours coincide.
Where we are going
Eurofrika begins with one corridor — Cameroon to North Rhine-Westphalia — because reputations are not built by spreading thin. The architecture is designed to extend later to other African and European countries, and eventually to other professions in shortage. But each new corridor will open only once the previous one holds.
